Erica Kluck

Erica received a master’s degree in speech pathology from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, and a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology from Augustana College, Rock Island, IL. She has continuing education and a special interest in pediatric speech sound and feeding disorders. She is certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and DIR Floortime® Basic. Erica’s long tenure with Kids Can Do began as a staff speech-language pathologist. She then became the speech therapy coordinator and later the clinic director. In 2018 Erica became an owner of Kids Can Do and is still actively treating children in therapy sessions. As the clinic director and owner, she enjoys leading the group of therapists to make Kids Can Do a place of support and understanding for the families served. When she’s not at Kids Can Do, Erica loves cooking, sharing the outdoors with her family, and walking with her mini poodle (when there’s time). "I have met so many inspiring children and wonderful families during my 20+ year journey at Kids Can Do, and they all have had an impact on me. I am fortunate to leave work feeling fulfilled every day!"

Marijo Kleinfelder

Marijo earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, and began her career at Kids Can Do as a student intern in 1994. Today she is the Director of Occupational Therapy and an owner at Kids Can Do. Marijo is certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), trained in Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy®, basic DIR Floortime®, and Therapeutic Listening. Marijo uses a play-based approach to pediatric therapy. Her therapy sessions are child-centered and therapist-led. With Marijo, therapy is designed to be fun and motivating while meeting individual goals and maximizing progress. Marijo is passionate about studying and understanding the theory of Sensory Integration (SI). She uses her SI knowledge and training to help children (and adults) understand their unique sensory needs and interact with their environment in more positive and fulfilling ways. When she is not working at Kids Can Do, Marijo enjoys traveling, reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. "I love getting to know the families at Kids Can Do, walking alongside them, and supporting their needs. Working in and helping create an environment that values play, fun, and individual achievement is rewarding. I appreciate my relationships with the Kids Can Do team and consider myself fortunate to work with friends every day."

Marcy Munger

Marcy holds a physical therapy doctorate and a sports medicine bachelor of science degree from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI. She has completed continuing education courses, including developmental orthopedics, the serial casting of the pediatric foot and ankle, pediatric gait analysis and orthotic management, evaluation, and management of pediatric toe-walking, functional movement systems screening, pelvic floor therapy, post-concussion and vestibular rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, and is NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment) certified. Before completing her doctorate in physical therapy and joining Kids Can Do, Marcy worked as an athletic trainer. As a pediatric therapist, she loves making a difference in a child's life, helping them feel better and achieve new skills. As the Director of Physical Therapy and an owner of Kids Can Do, Marcy enjoys leading and mentoring therapists. She is passionate about providing excellent therapy in a fun, family-oriented, collaborative environment. "I love getting to know the children and their families, and I appreciate the close bonds developed with my co-workers. It has been a fantastic experience at Kids Can Do."

Tennille earned a master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC, where she was a graduate assistant for the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL. Tennille has additional education and training, including Sequential Oral Sensory approach to feeding, Food Chaining, Get Permission, Tube Feeding with Love, PROMPT, Social Thinking, PECS, Simon Says Orofacial Myofunctional therapy, and TOTS. Before joining Kids Can Do, Tennille worked as a speech-language pathologist in the public school system for 3 years and as an evaluator and provider in EI (early intervention) for five years. Tennille believes in treating the whole child and educating and involving the family. She believes this approach enables children to achieve their goals and thrive in various settings. In her free time, Tennille enjoys creating and working on art projects, traveling, cooking, decorating, and spending time with family. "I love working at Kids Can Do. We are a family of therapists working together to enrich the lives of our clients who become part of the Kids Can Do family."

Emily graduated from Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL, with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She also earned a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders from Ball State University, Muncie, IN. Emily is a Basic DIR Floortime® provider and is also trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System). Emily has experience in outpatient clinics and therapeutic day schools and is a Best Buddies volunteer. She believes in highlighting and building on a child's strengths and accomplishments to address areas for growth, learning, and development areas. When she’s not working at Kids Can Do, Emily enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with friends and family. “I am passionate about involving families in the therapy process, educating and collaborating with them to help ensure a successful outcome for their child.”

Kathleen received a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Saint Xavier University, Chicago, IL, and a bachelor’s degree in communication and science disorders from Saint Xavier University, Chicago, IL. Always inspired to work with children, as a graduate student she worked in a tutoring program for children at a local elementary school. Kathleen takes a play-based approach to pediatric therapy. Her therapy sessions are designed to be fun, interactive, purposeful, and effective, helping patients reach their goals and succeed. Kathleen likes to devise creative ways to motivate, challenge, and encourage patients in her therapy sessions. Making families feel welcome and comfortable in therapy is essential to Kathleen. “Kids Can Do is a welcoming environment. Advantageously, there are different pediatric therapy services available at the clinic. This enables therapists from various disciplines to communicate, collaborate, and create the best complete care plan for each child. Kids Can Do focuses on helping children reach their highest potential, and do so in a way that makes them desire to do so - it’s a perfect match for me.” When not working at Kids Can Do, Kathleen loves being outdoors, running, biking, and swimming. She enjoys painting, drawing, and creative art projects. Kathleen also enjoys watching new movies and loves all things Disney!

Caitlyn

Caitlyn holds a Master of Science in speech-language pathology from Saint Xavier University, Chicago, IL, and a Bachelor of Arts in speech-language pathology from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN. Caitlyn completed fieldwork at an elementary school and a school cooperative, where she gained experience working with children across a wide range of ages and needs, from basic communication with ACC devices to groups developing higher-level social skills. Caitlyn is passionate about working with children and builds on the joy and energy they bring to therapy sessions. When not at Kids Can Do, Caitlyn likes baking, running, and spending time with friends and family. "I enjoy helping build the communication bridge between a child and the rest of the world; everyone deserves to be understood."

Jena has a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Augustana College, Rock Island, IL. She has completed additional training and certifications in PROMPT, Advanced DTTC, Kaufman Speech and Language Protocol, Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, Beckman Oral Motor, Get Permission Approach to Feeding, M.O.R.E. Integrating Mouth and Posture, Re-Chaining and Food Chaining, Social Thinking, Integrating NDT and Sensory. She is also an Apraxia-Kids and AOMT preferred provider. Prior to joining Kids Can Do, Jena was a graduate research assistant and worked as a physical therapy aide. She has been a clinical supervisor at Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL, and has held leadership roles for The Walk for Apraxia fundraising and awareness event. Jena believes involving parents, siblings, and other caregivers in a child’s treatment plan is critical for the best outcomes. "I love working with children because I genuinely enjoy the opportunity to make therapy creative, fun, and meaningful for each child."

Katie holds a master’s degree in health sciences from Governors State University, University Park, IL, and a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders, from Illinois State University, Bloomington, IL. She has additional coursework and training in PROMPT, Beckman Oral Motor, DTTC, Food Chaining, SOS, and Social Thinking. Prior to joining Kids Can Do in 2012, Katie worked in the child development center at Easterseals DuPage and as a therapy aide for various social groups. She loves connecting and communicating with children. In her therapy sessions, Katie values children’s pure excitement about the world around them and builds on their passion for learning. When she is not at Kids Can Do, Katie enjoys spending time with family, visiting friends, working out, and reading. "There is a welcoming atmosphere throughout Kids Can Do, and I am glad to be part of the dedicated, caring staff. It is rewarding to see families express their happiness with the results of therapy."

Samantha

Samantha holds a master's degree in speech-language pathology from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Elmhurst University, Elmhurst, IL. As a student, Samantha gained experience in elementary and middle public school settings, as well as in a private pediatric practice and Northern Illinois University's speech-language hearing clinic. She has worked with children across all age groups and with various communication needs. Samantha loves working in a play-based therapy clinic, making Kids Can Do an ideal work environment. In her free time, Samantha enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, and playing with her dog. “I believe every voice matters in this world and strive for each one to be heard. I enjoy collaborating with families to help their child communicate and self-advocate for their wants and needs.”

Anne

Occupational Therapist
Anne initially earned her degree in occupational therapy in Germany. After moving to the U.S. and passing the board certification exam, she continued to work in the pediatric setting. She is certified in NDT and trained in basic DIR Floortime® and Ayres Sensory Integration®. Anne’s background and education in science serve as a base for better practice models and helps enable her to select the best tools for each patient. Knowing that play is a child’s primary occupation, Anne designs therapy sessions to challenge children at just right levels so they have fun and enjoy success while learning important new skills. Outside the therapy world, Anne loves all animals, hiking with her dog, listening to music, cooking, and getting together with friends. "It is so helpful to work alongside other disciplines and collaborate with other therapists when needed. The support, teamwork, and whole-child approach at Kids Can Do makes it a joy to work here."

Lauren has additional OT education and training including therapeutic listening. Lauren likes to uncover and build on the innate creativity and positivity in all the children she works with. She values the importance of building relationships with both children and their families and encourages kids to have fun and enjoy therapy sessions. Lauren loves having the opportunity to help make a difference in children’s lives. When she’s not working at Kids Can Do, Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors, crocheting, trying new restaurants, game nights, and spending time with family and friends. Mary earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Saint Louis University and also has a bachelor’s degree in occupational science. She is trained in Therapeutic Listening and has received a DIRFloortime® basic certificate. Prior to Kids Can Do, Mary worked in self-contained therapeutic schools and was a volunteer in Special Olympics and adaptive sports programs including rock climbing, tennis, and baseball. Making work seem like play, Mary is passionate about instilling self-esteem, independence, and playfulness in her therapy sessions. She values the experience of seeing life through the eyes of children. Mary lives in Chicago and enjoys all the amenities the city offers including baseball games, concerts, theater performances, beach days, and trying new restaurants. “I live the best of both worlds, managing city life and working at Kids Can Do!”

Sarah earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI. Sarah has completed additional professional coursework including Sequential Oral Sensory Approach and feeding theories. She is also trained in Ayres Sensory Integration®, Therapeutic Listening, and basic DIR Floortime®. Sarah first became interested in pediatric occupational therapy while a student volunteer in a special needs classroom. Today, after more than 20 years at Kids Can Do, Sarah continues to be passionate about being an occupational therapist and helping children learn, grow, problem solve, and enjoy life. She loves seeing children experience a new joy for eating after working with them to address their sensory needs. In her leisure time Sarah likes to bake and spend time outdoors hiking, boating, snowboarding, and hammocking with her husband and three children. "It’s important to me to develop a personal connection between child, family and therapist. This relationship helps children reach their goals and together we can all celebrate their success."

Bridget earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Mo. Her fieldwork experience included working in a pediatric outpatient clinic where she focused on helping children reach developmental milestones through play-based and sensory integration therapeutic strategies. Bridget designs her therapy sessions to be fun and enjoyable for children, emphasizing building confidence and a sense of accomplishment. She strives to build a strong, collaborative relationship between therapist, child, and family. Bridget believes working together encourages greater success and helps children reach their goals and full potential. Bridget enjoys reading, baking, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family when she's not working at Kids Can Do. “I love the positive, cooperative environment at Kids Can Do. Lauren earned her doctorate degree in occupational therapy from Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL, and her bachelor of science degree in exercise science from Carroll University, Waukesha, WI. As part of her capstone project, while a doctoral student at Kids Can Do, Lauren researched and studied the treatment of children with feeding conditions. She developed informational videos that provide parents with ways to improve mealtimes at home and reinforce carryover information and strategies learned during feeding therapy sessions. After completing her doctorate, Lauren decided to join the Kids Can Do team permanently. She was attracted to “the positive and supportive environment that allows children to grow to their full potential.” When Lauren is not working at Kids Can Do, she enjoys outdoor activities, especially running and hiking with her two (lovable and spoiled) dogs.

Camryn

Camryn earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology from Marquette University. Camryn’s fieldwork experience included developing and implementing group sessions for college students with autism to help enhance transitional skills and independence. She also worked as a research assistant at Marquette University’s Movement and Neuro Lab, studying bilateral coordination in children with cerebral palsy. Camryn was drawn to pediatric therapy because she finds it rewarding to help children grow and reach their potential. She designs her therapy sessions to be fun and creates a positive, supportive environment. Camryn believes it is important to work closely with both children and their families and celebrate the small steps together. “I find working at Kids Can Do inspiring. The team is passionate about helping children grow and succeed through personalized, strength-based therapy. The focus on individualized care and family support makes it a place where you can truly help kids develop their skills and achieve their goals. Being able to collaborate with other disciplines ensures a comprehensive, well-rounded approach to each child's care. It’s a place where creativity, teamwork, and making a real impact come together.” When she’s not at Kids Can Do Camryn enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, trying new restaurants and new recipes, and DIY crafts.

Allison

Physical Therapist
Allison earned her doctorate of physical therapy at the University of Missouri, Columbia, after receiving her bachelor’s degree in movement and sports sciences at Purdue University, Lafayette, IN. She has taken additional coursework in various pediatric specialties and is certified in Neuro-Development Treatment (NDT). Before joining Kids Can Do in 2018, Allison traveled to Guatemala to deliver, fit and modify donated wheelchairs for those in need. She is passionate about being a physical therapist and treating children of all ages across various diagnoses, from neuromuscular deficits to developmental delays. Believing children should enjoy therapy, she always finds a way to put the "fun" in functional. Her sessions are designed to help children and their families succeed through individualized play-based therapy. Outside of work, Allison enjoys staying active and spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends. "I love being a part of an excellent multidisciplinary team and working with the families at Kids Can Do. These relationships are fulfilling and very important in treating the whole child."

Karen J.
Office Manager
Karen J. has been with Kids Can Do since 2011. Her prior experience includes working in a physician’s office, supervising children at a casting company, and being a teacher’s aide. Karen has been a long-time volunteer for youth sports programs in the community. When she is not managing the day-to-day activities in the front office at Kids Can Do, Karen keeps active and enjoys spending time with her five children, ten grandchildren, and husband of 40+ years. "I love the family atmosphere at Kids Can Do. The staff and therapists make it very enjoyable to come to work every day."

Karen has more than 35 years experience serving the healthcare profession. Karen helps patient families understand and maximize the medical insurance resources that are available to them. Outside of work Karen enjoys hanging out with family and friends and loves to travel with her husband. Stephanie
Patient Accounts Supervisor
Stephanie has worked with patient families at Kids Can Do for more than 10 years. She helps patient families understand and navigate insurance coverage (which can sometimes be confusing and complex) for therapy services. When she’s not at Kids Can Do, Stephanie likes traveling to Florida to visit family and hanging out with her husband and two sons. "I enjoy being a resource for the patient families at Kids Can Do."

Taylor
Offiice Assistant
Taylor joined Kids Can Do in 2025. She brings prior office experience working as a human resources and office administrator. When she’s not assisting families at the front desk, Taylor is busy spending time with her two children. She enjoys being outdoors, traveling and hanging out with family. “I am glad to be part of Kids Can Do. Everyone is kind and welcoming, it’s a great atmosphere to work in.”
